The vision board as a valuable tool for your goals

‘Create your free vision board now! – 100 inspiring templates!’

This or similar slogans surround us more and more often, and not just at the turn of the year. But what exactly is behind the term ‘vision board’? And what are the benefits?

I would like to give my own answers to these questions today. I also use this tool very profitably in my coaching sessions as a visualisation method for my clients’ individual goals and am delighted with the results 😊.

What is a ‘vision board’?

Generally speaking, a vision board is a kind of collage of images, photos, texts or symbols that represent your vision or goals. This collage can be made in all possible sizes and materials. Typical are these collages on cardboard in DIN A 3 for the wall. But you can also find many templates online for creating vision boards for your desktop background or for printing out.

How do I create such a target collage?

Firstly, you should become aware of your goals. These can relate to all areas of life. For example, if you want a new flat, you can stick pictures of flats on it. If you are looking for a new job, a copy of a job advert may be suitable. There are no limits to your creativity! It is often not so easy to find the targets. No need to panic! I recommend that you simply look for a few magazines and see which picture appeals to you. Or scroll through image databases online and feel which of the photos triggers an emotion in you. This gives an indication of your goals.

Then arrange the images and symbols on the background in the way that suits you best. It can be helpful to group them by category or topic. Make sure that the vision board inspires and motivates you when you look at it.

What are the benefits of a vision board for you?

The vision board can not only help you to visualise your goals and dreams, but also to manifest them. By collecting images, words and symbols of things you want to achieve or attract on a vision board, you can positively influence your subconscious and increase your motivation to realise these goals. It serves as a visual reminder of your wishes and can help you stay focussed and take concrete steps towards your dreams.

Put your vision board in a place where you can see it every day to remind you of your goals and motivate you to achieve them.

I hope that you now also feel like visualising your goals and wish you lots of fun doing so!
